We work remotely with families in Britain and elsewhere, researching Polish records and explaining the findings in English. What does The Polish Genealogist research? We research family history through Polish civil, parish, military and other archival records. We investigate the Polish side of your story and explain the findings in English, with copies and references where they are available within the agreed scope. Why does Polish research need historical context? Polish research often crosses old borders and languages. A village may have several names, and a surname may change between documents. We consider names, dates, relationships and historical places together so that a promising entry can be tested against the person you are looking for. What makes a useful family history? A useful family history does more than collect names.
