Polish Church and Parish Records Research

Commission a focused investigation across Polish church and parish sources. This service goes beyond retrieving one known birth, marriage or death entry: it follows a family through registers, marriage annexes, parishioner lists and other ecclesiastical records that can connect people, households and places across time.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as ordering one baptism or marriage record?

No. A known single record belongs under the vital-record service. This package investigates a broader family or parish question and can combine several types of church evidence.

What are allegata?

Allegata are supporting documents assembled for a marriage. Depending on the period and survival, they may include birth or baptism extracts, death evidence for a former spouse, permissions, dispensations and other documents that identify relatives and places of origin.

Can you search status animarum or parishioner lists?

Yes, where these collections survive and are accessible. They may organise people by household and can be especially useful for reconstructing a family between individual sacramental events.

Do you research non-Catholic church records?

Yes. Depending on the place and period, the research can include Greek Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran and other Christian parish collections as well as Roman Catholic records.

Does the package guarantee that parish records survive?

No. Parish collections are uneven, some books were destroyed or transferred, and access may depend on the archive or parish. The package purchases expert research time and a documented search, not a guaranteed record.
